HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS HANDLED
- • Lucas runs in your browser, on your own device. No live sensor, camera or radar is connected.
- • The records you write stay on your device. Nothing on these screens is sent to another company.
- • Records you choose to protect are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a passphrase only you know. The passphrase is never stored.
- • Records carry a SHA-256 fingerprint, so you can tell whether a copy has been changed.
- • Recorded facts held: core lock 290c8fc883078080, sealed system record, criteria set LUCAS_4000000_V1 (4,000,000).
Worth knowing
- • If you forget the passphrase, protected records cannot be recovered.
- • Clearing your browser data removes the records held on this device.
- • Anyone with access to your unlocked device can read what you have written.
Checking a record hasn't changed
- • Each record you save gets a fingerprint — a long code worked out from its exact contents.
- • If a single character of the record changes, the fingerprint changes too.
- • Keep the fingerprint and compare it later to see whether the copy still matches.
- • It shows that something changed. It does not say who changed it, or when.
- • It is not a legal seal, and not proof for police, insurance or a court.
- • It cannot stop anyone editing their own copy of a record.
Working without internet
- • Lucas runs in your browser, so the pages and your saved records stay usable with no connection.
- • Anything that needs the internet — signing in, live web look-ups, sending something somewhere — waits until you are back online.
- • This is ordinary offline browser use. It is not off-grid or untraceable operation.
Devices and screens
- • The same pages work in a browser on a phone, a tablet or a desktop computer.
- • Each device keeps its own records. A phone and a dashboard screen are not linked to each other.
- • Nothing here is installed into a car, a robot or any other hardware, and no upgrade is pushed to a device.
Size and limits of the criteria library
- • The review library holds exactly 5,000,000 criteria, set LUCAS_5000000_V1, sealed with lock 290c8fc883078080.
- • It is built and checked inside your browser, in small batches loaded only when they are needed.
- • It grows by adding new sealed batches on top. Existing criteria are never edited or reordered.
- • Counts in the billions cannot be generated or checked in a browser, so no such figure is shown.
- • There is no car-to-car, regional or global network in Lucas. Nothing is synced between vehicles, areas or countries.
- • Each device holds its own records only.
