VEHICLE CHECKS
Write up a check you did yourself. Lucas does not plug into the car, does not read the engine computer and never supplies factory part numbers — everything here is what you typed, turned into a clear report you can hand to a mechanic.

What this is not
- • Lucas does not plug into your car. A web page cannot reach OBD-II, CAN, UDS or the engine computer, so nothing here is read from the vehicle.
- • Fault codes are the ones you typed from your own reader. Only the general area of a standard code is explained — never the exact fault.
- • Parts are the ones you listed after looking. There are no factory part numbers, no catalogue lookups and no "missing component" detection.
- • There are no confidence percentages, no predicted failures and no tamper alerts. Those would be guesses dressed up as measurements.
- • Readings are figures you type or paste from a reader you already own. Green, amber and red come only from the range you set yourself.
- • The early-warning list is arithmetic: readings outside your range, and readings that moved the same direction across your last three checks.
- • The cabin check is written by you. Nothing senses presence, posture, behaviour or anything about the people in the car.
- • Records live in this browser. Clearing browser data removes them; use the hand-off file to carry a copy.
